Devorah was a judge and prophetess. She encouraged the Israelites to fight back against their oppressor Jabin, the King of Canaan. When Barak refuses to fight unless she comes with them, Devorah prophesies that a woman will bring about the end the conflict. Jael the Kenite later drives a tent peg through Sisera's head to end the war.
